Project Director: Marica Montalbano (journalist)

The project is aimed at children of kindergarten, primary and lower secondary school

The exchange between individuals passes through words and actions, with a process of continuous interdependence. If both flow between the tracks of correctness and respect, of empathy with others' feeling, the communication is fluid and unequivocal.

Otherwise disagreements, misunderstandings or even worse violent reactions are the product.
Starting from this simple as too often ignored axiom, it seems intuitive to say that the interaction is based on communication.

Acting on the word, on the interface between individuals could make a difference, and if this action is performed when individuals are at a very young age the results are more evident, profitable and lasting, leaving an important imprint on the one who will become the future adult.

The project of kind communication, beyond the name that could lead to a very absent affectation in my intentions, wants instead to call to attention that each of us should ask in addressing the other, in formulating a question, In co act with others.

So the "Give me the eraser" with which a child turns to their classmate could become "could you give me the eraser?" And if could add  please it would not hurt. The concept is identical but the form is different and also the feeling that one has towards the other.

Of course the project does not intend to achieve a formal perfection in relations between individuals, but a real substantial revolution, no hypocrisy, only the awareness that the word can be used in so many ways, Why not use it  then in a way that makes the other feel comfortable?

A point of view that if presented to us adults, now crystallized in roles and habits often unedifying, is only partially understood.

An attitude that if presented in schools, by teachers, educators, even theater and literature operators, infuses in the child the curiosity to experiment with other formulas of approach,  the possibility of speaking, acting and reasoning differently.

Theater and literature help, in the theater the reproduction of everyday situations experienced, spoken and acted in different ways is an incentive to the child who begins to understand the diversity of behaviors that can appeal, By assimilating the concept that his own attitude is not necessarily the only one.

There is no talk of right or wrong, no one wants to rectify anyone and above all the purpose of the project is not to present a decalogue to be followed in social relations.
The aim of the project is to involve the child and make him/her choose the dialogue mode and actions "richer" of positive effects.

Reading texts or pedagogical fairy tales, is one the tools through which taking action.
The fairy tale is read and  commented. The children will reflect on it and  share with their school mates, teachers and operators of the project.

They exchange points of views and question themselves, their actions.
From these reflections, comes the choice of attitudes more responsive to the achievement of a climate of cooperation and sharing.

This will not be the way to completely eradicate the baby gang or the "old "phenomenon of real bullying or cyberbusllismo, but this could be a useful way to decrease its scope.
